People's Artist of the USSR

Vladimir Igoshev was born in Bashkiria, Russian Republic, USSR, 1921.

He graduated from the Theatrical Arts College in Ufa in 1940.

Vladimir was a veteran of the Great Patriotic War.

He studied and graduated from the Moscow V.I. Surikov Arts Institute in 1950 (studio of G.G. Ryazhsky).

Engaged in creative activities at the Sverdlovsk Division of the Union of Artists of the USSR in 1951 - 1968.

Merited Artist of the RSFSR since 1961.

Winner of the RSFSR I.Ye. Repin State Award (1982).

People's Artist of the USSR since 1991.

Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1944.

V.A. Igoshev's House-museum opened in Khanty-Mansiisk in 2001.

Vladimir Igoshev died in Moscow in 2007, his remains are buried in the Vagankovo Cementery/
